- Page 20.--In the name of God, Amen. I, DANIEL BRODHEAD, of Marbletown, in Ulster County, being sick, this 26 of April, 1759. I leave to my wife Margarettie the income of all my estate for her support during her widowhood, and for the support of my children and their education till they are of age, I leave to my eldest son, Daniel, "my old Gun for his birth right." I also leave him 1/2 of all my estate, real and personal, and the other 1/2 to my son Samuel. My executors may sell such part of my movable estate as they judge necessary to pay debts. I make my brother, Charles Brodhead, and my brotherin-law, Johanes DeWitt, and my nephew, Charles DeWitt, executors. "My executors are to act in behalf of my children, with regard to the Church and ground on which it stands, until they come of age, for which I have a Deed."
